Born and brought up in East India, I left for London after graduation to pursue a certificate course in Interior Designing. This course taught that, designing was a journey wherein the process is as important as the final outcome. Every designer needs to feel and enjoy this process or else the effectiveness is lost. When I start working on a design, I do not think about the final output. I start off with a concept and like to see the design unfold itself in front of my eyes. I keep a close watch on its daily development and give it a shape very gradually. I believe that every individual should love his space as much he loves his own self. Happy surroundings, spacious areas, attractive walls, perfect lighting, all contribute towards a person’s mood on a daily basis. It reflects his own personality which keeps him connected to his inner self. While designing a space, every designer goes through a lot of thinking. Thoughts that are based on a client’s requirements, spatial restrictions, balancing utility with aesthetics etc. Interior designers tend to judge a space by talking to it. We designers understand exactly what the space requires. We empathize with it.
